I'm free! Until next week, that is. Then I need to start preparing posters and talks for the conferences in June.

A few random thoughts (with some technobabble) for the post-mortem:

• Printers don't like to be precise. I added 1/8" to the top and bottom margins just so they could actually come out to be at least 1 inch. I found this out right before printing out the final copies of the thesis (oops).
  
• JPEG compression for bitmaps is bad. epstopdf is sad unless you give it GS_OPTIONS to turn off the JPEG compression. And then pdflatex makes your bitmaps intermittently sad if you use the Flate compression, so in the end you get large PDF files.
  
• You can't graduate in May--only in June. What a difference a month makes on your cover page :)
  
• The more supervisors you add, the more you need to hunt them down for signatures at the last minute.
  
• The Course VI Undergraduate Office has a vastly superior collection of binder clips than MIT Libraries. Rock on.
