More eatin' and shoppin'
Dec. 29th, 2002 11:59 pmToday one of my aunts took us out to lunch--perhaps dinner is a better term, because the meal lasted more than three hours. She and her husband invited my parents and siblings and my second cousin and his wife (though we call them uncle and aunt), so the nine of us sat around a large circular table with a lazy susan for the feast.
The lunch was a typical Taiwanese feast, with appetizers to start and a seemingly endless series of large dishes for all to share. There were goose, fish, crab, and lobster dishes, along with sashimi and several different soups. A plate of oranges rounded out the meal.
Afterward my parents wanted to head out to Costco, so I followed my sister to go shopping for manga.
