My "I'm going to wing it now" dinner last night worked out pretty well, and now I'm in love with broccoli rabe (insert overdramatic squee-ing noises here).
I chopped it up and blanched it for two minutes (crucial--I skipped this step the last time I tried to cook broccoli rabe a few years ago. It took all of my willpower to force it down my throat) and sauteed it in olive oil with minced garlic, chopped scallions, tiny dried shrimp, and sliced imitation crab meat. I also broiled a big filet of mahi and had a few slices of multigrain bread (Baker's Inn).
I was in such a state of euphoria after eating I could not leave the dinner table for a few minutes.
