I'm speechless.... This hurts on so many levels.

Some Columbus Radio Stations Say No To "Jihad" Spot

The Columbus Dispatch reports that some radio stations in Columbus, Ohio have turned away a commercial from an auto dealership which declares a "jihad on the automotive market."

In the commercial for Dennis Mitsubishi, a reference is made to "launching a jihad on the automotive market." The spot informs listeners that sales representatives "will be wearing burqas all weekend long." One of the vehicles on sale "can comfortably seat up to 12 jihadists in the back."

The spot continues, claiming that "our prices are lower than the evildoers' every day. Just ask the pope! Friday is fatwa Friday, with free rubber swords for the kiddies."

The commercial, which the dealership’s GM calls "tongue-in-cheek, won't be run on Radio One’s WCKX, WJYD and WXMG. Also taking a pass are WSNY, WBNS, WWCD, WJZA/WJZK and WODB.

Wow. Speechless is a good word to describe it. It's funny in sort of the same way that watching old people fall down is funny. You know you're not supposed to laugh, but you laugh anyway.

Did they seriously think they would get that to air?
