Sudden inexplicable consumeristic urges
Nov. 15th, 2004 11:56 amJust now I looked out the window at the snow-blanketed parking lot and local flora. My immediate thought turned to procuring a digital camera so I can take pictures of this and other scenery and post them, send them to friends and family, etc. I am also reminded that my parents want me to scan in and burn a copy of all my childhood photos from an album recently dug out of storage, and that B&H has a lovely scanner for under $50 in their catalogue.
This sudden spate of materialistic desire is a bit disconcerting. But not long ago,
narya convinced (goaded?) me to buy an iPod, and that has turned out to be OK.
I think I need to contemplate this a bit more.
