This last month has turned into Performing Arts Month without real planning:
  • On the 7th I went on [livejournal.com profile] narya's mob to see The Rimers of Eldritch (directed by [livejournal.com profile] desireearmfeldt with lighting done by [livejournal.com profile] puffy_wuffy and [livejournal.com profile] rusalka)
  • The night of the 14th I saw The Heidi Chronicles (technical director [livejournal.com profile] brief_life)
  • [livejournal.com profile] marcusmarcusrc came into town and had a mob to see the Capitol Steps on the 29th
  • [livejournal.com profile] shumashi introduced me to the Soweto Gospel Choir on the 30th
  • Last night (6th) was the Harvard-Radcliffe Choir with [livejournal.com profile] ukelele and [livejournal.com profile] chenoameg singing Vasks' Dona Nobis Pacem and Poulenc's Gloria
I'd been on-and-off sick, which got in the way of my enjoying some of these shows, but now I have lots of cold medication and cough drops. And I didn't realize it at the time, but I don't get any ice-cream from [livejournal.com profile] chenoameg.

In other news, I have a replacement for my old desktop purchased fall of 1998. Technology has passed me by these last ten years; since then non-USB input devices have fallen out of fashion, as have IDE hard drives and parallel ports. In their place I found little glowy blue lights, a metric buttload of USB and Firewire ports, and an extra miniature screen on the front panel of the computer. Apparently the Chinese government thinks my mouse has more lead in it than is safe (well, it exceeds a certain unrevealed threshold), but Dell has apparently not bothered to translate this into English.

Also, the book Fight Club is somewhat more intriguing than the movie.
