Random dreams

ilaiI've been meaning to post some of my surreal dreams for a while, but I keep putting it off. Here are a couple that I haven't quite forgotten yet.
I've come up to my little room in the attic--which as far as I can tell only has a bed and nothing else--and am surprised to find there are other people looking down at me, from a raised hardwood floor about a half-story up from where I am, making my cozy room seem more like a pit. rhean and ctl have (somehow without my knowledge) built their little "Fun Room" above mine. I climb up into the Fun Room, and next thing I know I'm leaning against one of the railings enclosing the top floor and trying not to fall over as the railing starts to rotate and give way. Fortunately some random guy helps me plant the railing firmly back into place.
This next theme has come up multiple times: I'm in a subterranean maze of tunnels lined with little shops (not all alike). The system of tunnels ostensibly leads to some kind of subway platform. But everywhere I go, there are more intersections and signs directing you to other lines of the subway system, modeled after the MBTA's but clearly not half as helpful. One way leads to a cavernous chamber with a high ceiling, the top of an underground hill sloping down toward a platform, with motionless green trolleys occupying each of the several parallel roller coaster-like tracks. Another gets you into this strange single-occupancy, full-service (?!!) bathroom. Random rows of turnstiles block various intersections, but none of them seem to require fare for passage.
