Cooking Adventure
Jan. 15th, 2004 07:58 pmHere's my cooking adventure for the evening. I call it "Curry from the Fridge".
Mix everything in a pot. Heat to boiling. Realize you need spices. Dump in a good bit of cumin. Throw in somewhat less of dried cilantro and basil. Sprinkle in even less of ground black pepper. Lower heat so it doesn't boil over and cover. Watch as the water level lowers, but not quite to what you'd expect. Look for flour or corn starch and fail. Sprinkle in a dash of rice in the hopes that it'll be a thickening agent.
Now's a good time to wash the cutting board and knife and whatever other kitchen implements you feel like.
Eventually you get hungry and just turn off the heat. Serve over rice.
