Dreaming in the third person

Seems normal, yet bizarre....

Last night I dreamt that I wanted to shut all my windows because I felt a draft. In my dream I had a large bedroom with high ceilings, so naturally the windows were set 7 or so feet off the floor. But one of the windows was positioned in a corner, conveniently located near a ledge jutting out of the adjacent wall. And it just so happened that the ledge faced a fireplace with a pretty deep mantel. So my sister and [livejournal.com profile] lokiect decided they would shut the window for me, by climbing the mantel and jumping to the ledge.

After they pushed themselves up onto the mantel, I realized my perspective had shifted such that I was looking down from where they were, and I saw myself standing on the floor. I seemed to be asking my sister if she wanted me to support her feet, so she could just step across to the ledge. But then I apparently changed my mind and approached the window myself. And somehow, by the physics only possible in the realm of dreams, I grabbed ahold of the window pane and slid it shut.

dude, he's been infected! ;9

I dream like that all the time, really. not always so coherently, but switching perspectives, seeing myself or not, being different people, etc.

All my dreams are from a third-person perspective. Always have been.
