Internet!

The Chubu Airport near Nagoya is remarkably clean and modern. I am typing here in the business center, where there are about five computers with free internet access and five times that number of desks with an ethernet cable. However the Japanese keyboard is driving me nuts. And the optical mouse doesn't work without my trusty Games magazine underneath as a mousepad.

and i remember accidentally hitting the button/key combination/something that made all input into SKK. The fun part is that the obvious key combos (for me; that switches input modes) only changes the SKK to radical input for Kanji. I don't think I did figure out what to do. Eventually I think I called up microsoft onscreen keyboard (one of those accessibility options) and somehow got it to work through there.

at least the access was free/paid for by some Yahoo marketing campaign.
