Last night I had a series of dreams that I couldn't quite piece together. At the very end I was trying to decorate a bowl of rice--I lined a small bowl with saran wrap, stuffed it with rice, and flipped it over on to a plate to make a cute little mound. Then I wanted to squirt a squiggle of Sriracha sauce on top and garnish it with a sprig of mint. But somehow it turned into a mound of custard.

**brief_life**were involved in this epicurean madness but I don't remember how.

Upon waking up this gave me the inspiration of making a half-white-rice, half-brown-rice mound. It seems like too much effort without a special occasion though.

**lokiect**look for a bug she was working on, and discovered that it was the etched text on the ends of canned fruit (peaches and maraschino cherries in syrup).

Speaking of which, it will be summer soon, and that means peach season! Do we get peaches for 99 cents a pound this year? At a party I went to Saturday, there was a movie playing in the background that involved shag carpeting, bad hair, and apples for 15 cents a pound! How did apples get so expensive now?
